Jack, originally from Regina, Saskatchewan, graduated from BSU with majors in chemistry and math. A two-sport athlete and a walk-on, he lettered in football three years and also in hockey for three years. He played quarterback and compiled an overall pass completion average of 51%, was named all-conference in 1962 and was listed in Sports Illustrated as a top small college quarterback. He was co-captain of the team in 1962. He began starting as a quarterback as a freshman and was the regular starting quarterback in his junior and senior years. He played as a defenseman in hockey. Jack didn't play his senior year at BSU, but rather opted to play professional football in 1963 for the Canadian Football league Saskatchewan Roughriders. Since graduation he has worked for Uniroyal and 3M, where he is currently International Technical Manager. He served as president of the Stoughton Jaycees and as a Director of State Jaycees. Jack is a member of the BSU Alumni Association B-1000.
