Bemidji State University

James was a two-sport athlete at his time at BSU. He lettered in Basketball, from 1950-1954, and lettered in Track, from 1953-1954. James was a part of the 1954 NIC All Conference Team. He then became a Basketball, Baseball, and Track Coach, from 1954-1972. He was also awarded an Outstanding Educator Award.
