Bemidji State University

Kenneth Baumann was a three-time letter winner in football at BSU from 1964-68. He earned All-Conference Honorable Mention, was a three-time All-Conference selection, and captained the team in 1968.

Following his playing career, Baumann began a football coaching career, which spanned 32 years at Mahnomen High School. Under Coach Baumann the Indians won 287 games and six state championships before he retired from coaching in 2001. His 287 wins rank fifth all-time among Minnesota High School football coaches.

Baumann was named the Minnesota High School Coach of the Year in 1990 and he was inducted into the Minnesota State High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2002.
