Bemidji State University

Noel was a three-sport athlete, lettering in wrestling from 1959-1963, football in 1959, and track and field in 1960. He was named NIC Champion, in 1961, and 1963. Mid-State Wrestling Conference Champions, 1980, 1984, 1987. Noel was named Region Coach of the Year 1988 and 1987.  Also he was named District Coach of the Year 1980, 1982, 1985, 1987, 1988.  President Minnesota Wrestling Coach Association, 1990-1991.
