Lori Clark attended Bemidji State University from 1972-76, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education.  She also earned a Masters degree in athletic training from Western Michigan University.  Not only was she a top student academically, Lori emerged as record breaking athlete as well.  Lori was a three year letter winner in swimming at BSU.  In her freshman year, Lori had an undefeated season and earned state championship honors in all four of the events she competed in.  She then went on to become the first female swimmer at BSU to place in the top 12 at the national championships.  She kept her streak going as she managed to place in all events at the MAIAW state meet for her sophomore and junior season and also was an AIAW National Championship qualifier for all three years as a Beaver.  Lori holds four BSU women's swimming records in the 100 back, 50 fly, 100 IM, and the 200 medley relay. Lori also holds an impressive resume as a swimming coach, which includes her position at the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay as assistant coach for one year and fifteen years at Central Washington University, eight of those as head coach.  Lori coached the men's swimming team to three national championships and the women's team to one title in 1985.  In 1994 she was named NAIA Women's Swim Coach of The Year, and then in 2000 Lori was named to the BSU Women's Athletic All 30th Anniversary team. In addition to coaching, Lori served a three year term on the faculty senate and a three year term on the NAIA Rules and Site Committee for swim coaches.  Making a career change, Lori served the past four years as the Executive Director of the Kittitas Chapter of the Red Cross, helping residents recover after experiencing losses from disaster. She recently made a move to Longview, Washington taking a position as a teacher and pool manager for the K-12 school district.   Lori's community volunteer activities have included instructing first aid and CPR classes for the local Red Cross chapter, as well as being an active member of the PTA.  Lori and her husband, Tim, have two children, Patrick and Josie, and make their home in Longview, Washington.
